The relevant decree was signed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and published on the official legal information website. The Forum will be held to enhance the investment potential of the North Caucasus Federal District in the interests of its sustainable socio-economic development.
Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in charge of the North Caucasus Federal District, was appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum. Members of the Organizing Committee will be approved in the near future.
“In May this year, the Caucasus Investment Exhibition was held for the first time and immediately attracted a significant number of participants, including from foreign countries. The status of an annual forum will allow us to continue the joint systematic work of the authorities and business on the development of the North Caucasus Federal District. The region has huge potential and investment opportunities, and I am sure that the Forum will contribute to their successful implementation,” said Alexander Novak, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation in charge of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD).
“Attendance of the Caucasus Investment Exhibition by exhibitors from 14 countries – guests from the CIS and the Caspian Five, including high-ranking officials – showed that there is great international interest in the North Caucasus Federal District, and the region itself has huge potential and investment opportunities. I am confident that the status of an annual forum will help build a sustainable dialogue between states, business, and public institutions, as well as attract new investments to the country,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.
The First Caucasus Investment Exhibition was held on 3–4 May in Mineralnye Vody. The event was attended by around 3,000 people, including executives and representatives of government authorities, industry companies, businessmen, experts, and leading media. The business programme of the exhibition included more than 30 events with more than 300 speakers.
The first Caucasus Investment Exhibition was held with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. It was organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
