The Caucasus Investment Exhibition, which will take place on 3–4 May in Mineralnye Vody at the MinvodyExpo Multifunctional Exhibition Centre, has released the architecture of the event’s business programme. Over the two days, more than 20 sessions will be held on the integrated development of the North Caucasus Federal District in such key areas as agribusiness, tourism, transport and logistics, housing and utility services, energy, industry, human resources, and entrepreneurial potential.
“One of the priority objectives for the regions of the North Caucasus today is to increase investment activity. The Ministry of Economic Development continues to develop federal support measures. We are compensating banks for interest rates on soft loans for businesses and subsidizing businesses for expenses associated with building infrastructure facilities for new projects. We are developing special economic zones. The key support measures are being implemented by the unified development institution of the North Caucasus Federal District – Northern Caucasus Resorts,” Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sergey Nazarov said.
The key events of the Caucasus Investment Exhibition will be the plenary session, which is titled ‘Economic Potential of the North Caucasus Federal District. The Role of Investments in Developing the Macroregion’, and a meeting of the Government Commission on Socioeconomic Development, which will be attended by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who oversees the affairs of the North Caucasus Federal District in the Russian government.
In addition, government officials and representatives of Russian and international companies, the media, as well as the youth and scientific community will take part in the business programme.
