The CIF 2024 business programme consists of more than 60 events. The business programme will focus on the development of entrepreneurship and the agribusiness, transport infrastructure, industry, the energy and banking sectors, international cooperation, healthcare, and the humanitarian agenda among others. The plenary session promises to be the highlight of the Forum.
“The Caucasus Investment Forum business programme has expanded since last year to cover a wider range of development issues facing the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts and the CIS and Caspian and Black Sea basins. The Forum agenda will appeal to entrepreneurs and investors wise to the potential of the region. The exhibition programme will reflect the diversity of the North Caucasus and its culture and traditions,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak said.
The Caucasus Investment Forum business programme will focus on the media and creative industries, and the development of domestic tourism in the North Caucasus regions. What’s more, a meeting of the Government Commission on the Socio-Economic Development of the North Caucasus Federal District has been planned for the Forum, and a strategic session will be devoted to the implementation and plan of events for the Strategy for the Socio-Economic Development of the North Caucasus Federal District until 2030.
“According to the Federal State Statistics Service, investment in fixed capital in the North Caucasus Federal District came to more than 1 billion roubles in January–December 2023. The National Investment Attractiveness Rating for 2023 placed the Chechen Republic in the top 10 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The region continues to attract more and more attention, tourists. The Chechen capital of Grozny now attracts guests from across the entire region, many of whom stay to live, and is the embodiment of commercial success. One of the main goals of the Caucasus Investment Forum is to turn the North Caucasus into a national business centre and establish a regular platform for dialogue between representatives of the authorities and the business community. I am certain that CIF 2024 satisfies these goals fully. The Forum will bring together leading experts from various industries, opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, as well as delegations from foreign countries in one place. Representatives of the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and many others have already shown their interest in participating in the Forum,” Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the CIF 2024 Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.
Besides the main business programme events, the Forum will also be hosting the Vershina Investment Award ceremony for the first time to recognize important contributions to the economic growth and development of the investment potential of Russia’s regions. Finally, a series of lectures and masterclasses have also been planned.
“We are so happy that the Forum will put the Republic at the centre of attention for the country’s North Caucasus. Chechnya is honored to host the landmark Caucasus Investment Forum, a platform for negotiations and business contracts to develop investment projects and public-private partnerships. The Forum will acquaint quests with new projects and familiarize them with the traditions of the region. I have no doubt that the event will live up to international standards,” Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov said.
The First Caucasus Investment Exhibition, which took place in May 2023 in Mineralnye Vody, welcomed more than 3,000 people from 15 countries to more than 30 business programme events. 50 agreements worth more than RUB 150 billion were concluded at the event.
The Caucasus Investment Forum is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
