Press Conference on First Caucasus Investment Exhibition Held in Moscow

A press conference was held in Moscow to announce that the First Caucasus Investment Exhibition (CIE 2023) is set to take place in Mineralnye Vody on 3–4 May 2023. Speaking at the event were Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Sergey Nazarov, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev and Director General of the Northern Caucasus Resorts Development Institute Andrey Yumshanov.

The speakers touched upon the role of the Caucasus Investment Exhibition in attracting investments into the key regions of the North Caucasus Federal District in the future, the CIE 2023 business programme, and who the keynote speakers at the event would be.

Opening the press conference, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Sergey Nazarov noted the importance of the event. “The Caucasus Investment Exhibition is a platform for participants to sign mutually beneficial partnership agreements. We expect agreements to be concluded on investments into the Caucasus territory, as well as on cooperation with companies and organizations that can bring about unprecedented growth for the economy of the North Caucasus Federal District, implement promising investment projects and guarantee an increase in extra-budgetary investments,” Sergey Nazarov stressed.

Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev spoke about the CIE 2023 business programme and the venue for the event. The two-day conference will include more than 20 thematic sessions on issues relating to the integrated development of the North Caucasus Federal District in key areas, including the agro-industrial complex, tourism, transport and logistics, housing and communal services, energy, industry, human resources and entrepreneurship.

“There has been a great response to the exhibition from all regions of the North Caucasus Federal District. We will be releasing the event programme in the coming days – it is balanced and has been developed with great attention to the region. The business portion of the event will be supplemented by cultural and sports programmes. I am confident that the exhibition can become an annual event,” Alexander Stuglev noted.

Director General of the Northern Caucasus Resorts Development Institute Andrey Yumshanov emphasized the plans to sign a number of major partnership projects at CIE 2023. “We hope that the Caucasus Investment Exhibition will become another cornerstone strengthening our cooperation, an incentive to jump-start the development of all sectors of the economy in the North Caucasus,” Andrey Yumshanov stated.

The press conference wrapped up with a Q&A session on the exhibition and attracting investments into the regions of the North Caucasus.

The Caucasus Investment Exhibition will be held on 3–4 May 2023 at MinvodyEXPO in Mineralnye Vody. The event is being held with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation, with the Northern Caucasus Resorts Development Institute acting as strategic partner. The general partner of the exhibition is Promsvyazbank. The official sponsor is VTB Bank, and the official partners are Gazprom, Rostec and Sberbank. Russian Agricultural Bank is the event’s sponsor, and its partners are LUKOIL, Russian Small & Medium Business Corporation, Damate Group and Sady Stavropol’ya. The organizational partner is North-Caucasus Federal University (NCFU).
