The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has announced that it will begin accepting applications for the Second Vershina (Apex) Investment Award on 3 February 2025. The award ceremony will take place during the Caucasus Investment Forum, which is scheduled for 25–27 May 2025 at the MinvodyExpo Exhibition Centre in Mineralnye Vody. The CIF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
Participation is open to citizens of the Russian Federation and legal entities acting in full compliance with Russian legislation on innovative projects implemented between 2022 and 2025 employing advanced technological solutions and making an important contribution to the social and economic development of Russia’s regions. Applications are selected by an expert commission, with the winners chosen by a jury consisting of representatives from the federal executive authorities and the country’s largest companies.
“The Vershina Award seeks to recognize the best practices and projects and give businesses the unique opportunity to present their achievements to investors and experts, strengthen business ties, and attract new investment,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Award Jury Alexander Novak said.
The award was established to recognize outstanding investment projects, organizations, and individuals contributing in significant ways to the development of the investment potential and economic growth of Russia’s regions.
“By presenting investment projects that have already been implemented and recognizing contributions to regional and sectoral development, we can help create a more favourable investment climate. This year’s Vershina Award will present interesting, noteworthy large-scale investment projects and small business initiatives and serve as a basis for further improving investment in Russia,” Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Sergey Nazarov said.
