The Stavropol Region’s exposition at the Caucasus Investment Exhibition will focus on breakthrough projects that are being developed as part of the regional economic development model until 2030.

The regional authorities have identified the following five ‘breakthrough’ projects that will create more than 38,000 new jobs and attract more than RUB 711 billion in investment:

  • Creation of a cluster to produce fertilizers and nitrogen compounds (ammonia and urea)
  • Construction of wind farms
  • Creation and development of an agribusiness cluster
  • Development of the tourism and recreational potential of the Caucasus’ Mineralnye Vody region, including the creation of a special economic zone for tourism in the region
  • Creation and development of the Nevinnomyssk logistics hub

“We have found the potential for breakthrough projects in some of Stavropol’s strengths – agriculture, resorts, energy, the chemical industry, as well as logistics. Their implementation will provide a serious impetus for the region’s development for decades to come,” Stavropol Region Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said.

The Caucasus Investment Exhibition aims to develop regions that are part of the North Caucasus Federal District. The event will bring together representatives of government and business from the North Caucasus regions. Experts, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and the regional authorities will present new economic proposals and business ideas, as well as current trends and development strategies

In addition, government officials and representatives of Russian and international companies, the media, as well as the youth and scientific community will take part in the business programme.

The exhibition will take place on 3–4 May at the MinvodyExpo Multifunctional Exhibition Centre in Mineralnye Vody. Registration is already open on the event’s official website.

The event is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. The strategic partner is Northern Caucasus Resorts.
