North Caucasus Federal District Regions Share Plans for Caucasus Investment Exhibition

Less than two weeks remain until the start of the Caucasus Investment Exhibition, and the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District are already announcing their programmes and expositions. Each region will have its own exhibition booth. The Stavropol Territory and the Republics of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Chechnya, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania, and Dagestan will all take part in the exhibition.

Certain regions will also present projects that will become important growth points for the manufacturing, agricultural, tourism, and services industries and other sectors of the economy.

The Stavropol Territory will showcase five innovative projects in the chemical industry, wind energy generation, logistics, the development of agribusiness, and the region’s tourism and recreational potential. The projects are expected to attract over RUB 711 billion in investments and create more than 38,000 new jobs.

The Republic of Ingushetia announced that it will present five breakthrough projects that aim to develop agribusiness, tourism, solar energy generation technologies, metallurgy, and production capacity. The projects are being drawn up as part of the economic development model adopted in 2021 and will create 15,000 new jobs.

The Republic of North Ossetia will also present five breakthrough projects in logistics, agriculture, fish farming, tourism, and recreation. More than RUB 64 billion will be invested in implementing the projects.

I am certain that we will be able to discuss all the issues that have accumulated and share the results of the work that has been done in recent years. The key objective of the Caucasus Investment Exhibition is to search for priority areas that will become the basis for sustainable development, help attract additional sources of funding, and ensure the creation of new jobs in the North Caucasus, including in our region,” Stavropol Territory Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said.

The Caucasus Investment Exhibition will take place on 3–4 May in Mineralnye Vody at the MinvodyExpo Multifunctional Exhibition Centre. The business programme of the exhibition will kick off on 2 May, the opening day. Over the two days, more than 20 sessions will be held on the integrated development of the North Caucasus Federal District in such key areas as agribusiness, tourism, transport and logistics, housing and utility services, energy, industry, human resources, and entrepreneurial potential.

The Caucasus Investment Exhibition aims to develop regions that are part of the North Caucasus Federal District. The event will bring together key investors, initiators of investment projects, development institutions, banks, and the leaders of the North Caucasus regions. Experts, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and the regional authorities will present new economic proposals and business ideas, as well as current trends and development strategies.

In addition, government officials and representatives of Russian and international companies, the media, as well as the youth and scientific community will take part in the business programme.
